At the beach
The sparkling blue waters and white-sand. The water is cold and the shimmering sun was shining out. The brand new boat is floating on the water, and cruise ships in the horizon are heading to the harbour.

How to play netball

Netball

Students play netball in New Zealand. Students do their training at school or at the netball court. Year seven and eights go to the interschool competition, the year 5 and 6 also play in the interschool competition.

To play netball you need to know the rules. You have to be 3 feet away from the person with the ball. Also you need to stay within the lines that your positions stops at, for example Goal Shoot is only allowed in the shooting third of the court. The only player that is allowed all over the court is the centre player.

In Netball all you need is a ball, net, netball court and a team of seven people. The netball court it is divided into three thirds. The center circle is in the middle of the court and that’s where the player starts. On both ends of the court there are semicircles, that is where the Goalkeeper and Goal Shoot stand, they are two different positions.

Goalkeeper, only plays in the opposition's goal third and in the opposition’s goal circle. Goal Defence, only plays in the opposition's goal third and the centre third. Wing Defence and the wing attack, play in the opposition's goal third (but not the goal circle) and the centre third. The Centre, plays in all three thirds, but not the goal circles. Wing Attack and the Wing Defence, plays in their team's goal third (but not the goal circle) and the centre third. Goal Attack and Defence, play in the team's goal third and the centre third. Goalkeeper and  Goal Shooter, play in their team's goal third, and shoots in the goal circle.

In New Zealand students play netball.Year seven and eights students go interschool netball games, If the school choose the year 5 and 6 can enter the interschool competition. The training for netball are done at the netball court.  They go and play netball in Glen Innes after school.

I Remember as if it were Yesterday

I remember as if it was yesterday when I was at home and  I was thinking about coming to school on Saturday. I thought about what the day was and the date to come to school. The day was Saturday and the date was 16 August of 2014. So I thought to myself, why am I going to school on a Saturday?  My sister says to me “Why are you getting ready for school in the weekend?”  I think I was thinking it was Friday and I said “Why did I get up for school? I need to sleep some more this morning.

Space jump

Today Tai and Naomi came to Panmure Bridge School for a show.

Tai and Naomi did a show about space jump. The characters in the story were Claire, Jonno, Professor Proton and Dr Drivel. The story was about aliens from outer space and Claire. Claire came to earth to know how humans imagine on earth.
